Position Description – Program Facilitator

Good Hart Artist Residency is a nonprofit arts organization located in Good Hart, Michigan. We host artists, writers and composers from across the country for 2-3 week residency stays. The selected residents receive full room and board and a $500 stipend and are asked to do at least one community event during their stay. 

The Program Facilitator will assist the executive director in managing the program and coordinating with the residents and community organizations. 

The duties of the part-time Program Facilitator include:

  • Managing website and social media accounts
  • Assist with coordination and execution of public events 
  • Assist with coordination of residents 
  • Assist with hosting of residents 
  • Coordinate and manage volunteers
  • Assist with day to day operation of the residency
  • Assist with the management of the open calls for artists and the coordination of jurors
  • Researching grants and funding opportunities, and grant writing responsibilities

The ideal candidate for this position will have a background in the arts and/or nonprofits as well as experience or interest in event planning and facilitation. Candidates should have the following skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing social media accounts
  • Proficient with computers (Google Workspace, WordPress)

Some evening and weekend work required for facilitation of events. Ideal candidates will reside in Emmet county but we will consider candidates who summer in the area or part-time residents who can work remotely in the off-season. 

Part-time hourly with an average of 20 hours per week

$15.00 per hour
