Artist Statement
During my residency at Good Hart, I will create a community soundscape focused on people’s relationship with the Earth. More specifically, through conducting a community workshop, I will explore how stories and connections related to the Great Lakes and surrounding areas can be expressed through sound and music. After the residency, I will continue working on the project, compiling recordings from my residency into a soundscape. Ideally, this piece will later be displayed as a sonic installation in parks around the country.
