A generous anonymous donor who believes deeply in the mission of the Good Hart Artist Residency has established a Challenge Fund to help secure our future. The donor has provided $60,000 upfront and will contribute an additional $69,000 once we raise $200,000 in new and increased support by October 27, 2027. We have already raised more than $145,000 and have thus met over 73 percent of the challenge. Your donation will help us raise the remaining funds.

This opportunity has made it possible to hire a full-time Executive Director, Sarah Furman, and will strengthen Good Hart Artist Residency’s operations, ensuring the residency’s continued impact on artists and our community.

Over the years, we have hosted more than 120 artists, writers, and composers as residents and visiting artists. These talented individuals have helped make possible more than 170 community events, providing unique arts experiences that have engaged over 15,000 participants throughout our region.

It has been our privilege to bring these opportunities to northern Michigan with the support of this remarkable community, and we are deeply grateful.

Help us meet this challenge as we strive to build a sustainable financial base that will allow us to continue to serve the arts in northern Michigan for many years to come.
